The initial step for proponents interested in the recall of an elected officer holder is the drafting of a Notice of Intention. (§11020)
The Notice of Intention consists of the following:
• The name and title of the officer to be recalled.
Cooley
• A statement of no more than 200 words expressing the reasons for the recall. (See
Appendix B for rules on counting words.)
I will write this, but someone's got to collect those sigs!
• The printed name, signature, and business or residence address of each of the
proponents. Note: Proponents should also provide a mailing address if different from
above.
Proponents are registered voters in LA County. Need to check, but I think we need about 20 people to be Proponents.
• The language contained in §11023 informing the incumbent of his or her right to file an answer.
Who would like the pleasure of informing Cooley? Lots of people are mad at Cooley. I think I'll do a little research and see if other constituencies might also fit into the recall statement. They would also be another source of signatures.
