| Re: Dana Point wants pot dispensaries' member names, records So then it looks like Dana Point is trying to set the Legal precedence for subpeona of what amounts to Medical records ?
The sad thing here is that this appears to be divide and conquer tactics. If Dana Point (A very wealthy area) takes the legal brunt by picking on 5 Dispensary/Co-Op/Collectives, its far more likely to be defended less vigorously than it would be in Los Angeles.
Once they have a Judge's "go" constitutional or not LA will no doubt use that to strong arm folks here too.
With so many of these collectives comming and going, I really worry about who has a photocopy of my recommendation and Driver's Liscense. As well as what the Police would be doing with that info, should they obtain it.
Will it be going right into my FBI dossier? Or will it be going into my Homeland Security one? Or will my local Sherriff's be knocking on my door one day as a harrassment tactic? Or worse... with a search warrant because I "belong" to a co-op er "Illegal Organization for the purpose of distributing Marijuana".
All you have to do is take a close look at the Ricoh laws.
Now on the other hand.....
The issue can also be seen as one of verification. How can ANYONE know that a Dispensary/Co-Op/Collective is operating legally without the ability to verify?
Does a City's need to verify exceed my right to privacy?
But wait we have very well drafted guidlines already from the Ca. Attorney Gen. Why is every city in Ca ignoring this fact? |
